Welcome to Gina’s Garden, your destination for a delightful pick-your-own flower experience in Brightwater, Nelson Tasman. Immerse yourself in the magic of our flower farm, where you can wander through beautiful blooms and create unforgettable memories. Whether you're looking for a DIY flower experience, a picturesque setting for a party or special occasion, or a simple escape from the busyness of everyday, here’s everything you need to know to make your visit unforgettable.
What to Expect
Pick-Your-Own Flowers: Wander through our vibrant field of flowers, including vibrant dahlias & zinnias in summer, delicate ranunculus, and luscious peonies in spring, along with many other favourites. Enjoy the experience of selecting your own seasonal blooms from our wide range.
Duration: Each pick your own session lasts 2 hours and we will offer multiple sessions over the week. Take your time, stroll through our fields, take in the fresh air, and enjoy the beauty of nature as you gather flowers at your own pace. It's a wonderful way to unwind and connect with the outdoors.
What We Provide: We provide clippers, a vessel for picking (choose from three options) and guidance, so you can enjoy the flower picking experience. Gina will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and your camera for stunning garden photos!
Booking Your Visit
We are open for pick your own sessions from October to April!
There are three options to choose from when booking:
Small Jar ($30): Craft a charming posy with ~15 stems, ideal for a thoughtful gift or a touch of joy.
Large Jar ($50): Fill it with ~30 stems for a vibrant, show-stopping bouquet.
Bucket ($100): Go big with ~80 stems, perfect for weddings, events, or filling a home with gorgeous blooms.
All session will be listed in our shop for you to book online! Want a private picking party? We can help with that!

Join us for the first day of the new season! The wet Winter has slowed us down but the flowers will be blooming. Our exact date is TBC so keep an eye on our socials!

Valentine's Day
FEBRUARY
Join us on Valentine’s Day. Wander through the garden, pick up something special for your Valentine, and enjoy a relaxed, romantic outing in full bloom.

Autumn Celebration
APRIL
Join us to celebrate the end of season. Wander the garden to pick the last of the flowers and gather seed heads to grow your own piece of Gina’s Garden.
Getting Here
Address: 12 Fairfield Street, Brightwater, Nelson Tasman 7022
Directions: We’re a 20-minute drive from Stoke. From SH6, turn onto Ellis Street, turn again onto Fairfield Street; parking is available on-site.
Public Transport: Take the Nelson-Brightwater bus (Route 6) to Brightwater, then walk 5 minutes to our garden.
Accessibility: Our garden paths are made of crushed shell and reasonably flat they are walker and stroller friendly. We are working on making improvements for wheelchairs also.
